We’ll celebrate

Tom Scott’s

50 years in Broadcasting!

1969-2019

Tom Scott at KFXD-AM in the early 1970s awarding a Jukebox full of Beatles Records!

President Art Gregory with Tom doing “color commentary” will

cover Tom’s entire 50-year-career in Radio and TV, which started with

his first broadcast on July 22, 1969 on KFXD-AM from 12:00-2:00 AM!

Tom spent 9 years at KFXD-AM and was there as Music Director

when the station pulled a 26.0 share in the 1973 Arbitron Ratings!

He became Program Director in 1975, and stayed until 1978 when

KFXD still had an 18.6 Share and a cume of over 100,000 listeners!

Tom then went to KIVI-TV as Sports Director from 1978-1981, and

later did sports on Channel 2, KBCI-TV from 1981-1982. He returned

to KFXD Radio from 1983-1984, and started doing color for Paul J on

KBOI-AM from 1985-1986,  and color with both Mark Johnson, and

Larry Maneely on KTVB-TV from 1987-1995 on Boise State University

play-by-play football & men’s Basketball broadcasts. Tom was there

for the very first “Sunday Sports Extra” on Channel 7 in 1996, and in

2001, started doing “The Scott Slant” on KTIK “The Ticket”  -  both of

which he is still doing today!  He again did color on Bronco telecasts

from 2005 through 2009. After successful stints at both United Cable

Advertising and KTVB Channel 7 selling airtime, Tom started his own

Ad Agency, Tom Scott Communication Shop, and now buys radio and

TV time, instead of selling it, as well as producing effective radio and
TV commercials for
his clients. He’s also a Member of our Foundation!

We’ll have radio air-checks from KFXD…video from his KIVI & KBCI TV days…

Rare BSU footage from his play-by-play days…PLUS LOTS of photos and ads

that feature Tom, Dee Sarton, Mark Johnson, Larry Maneely, and more!

Don’t miss this Celebration of Tom Scott’s

50 Years in Radio & Television!
